‘The Ocean Behind the Window’ to vie at KINOLUB

Iranian feature ‘The Ocean Behind the Window’ is to vie at the KINOLUB international film festival in Poland.

Iranian feature ‘The Ocean Behind the Window’ has made its way to the KINOLUB international film festival in Poland.

‘The Ocean Behind the Window’, directed by Babak Nabizadeh, will vie at the 7th edition of KINOLUB.

Eight other features will also take part in the festival’s Main Competition.

The film is about Burhan, a rural smart teenager, who forms a band and plays music to attract tourists to Hormuz Island. His life has prospered and more tourists arrived on the island, but a big problem is down the road.

KINOLUB is “a celebration of films produced for children and youth”, the event’s website reads.

“Each year in June different cities offer festival screenings to audiences between 4 and 18 years of age.”

It aims “to create an environment for young people to actively and keenly participate in the cultural life and to develop new mindful audiovisual audiences”.
